Articles of Incorporation Apostille and Authentication Service
What are articles of incorporation?
According to Rocket Lawyer, articles of incorporation are the “document by which a corporation is formed and organized under the corporation laws of the state.”
What is an articles of incorporation apostille?
In brief, an articles of incorporation apostille is a certification process that validates your company records for use abroad. Overseas parties may require an apostilled copy of your articles of incorporation as part of a legal proceeding or business transaction.
To give the documents legal status overseas, the relevant state office (often the Secretary of State or the Business Division) will look up your business records. If everything is in order, the office creates a certified copy and adheres an apostille certificate.
Generally, most of our requests for articles of incorporation apostilles come from companies organized in California or Delaware. We may be able to retrieve records from other states, as well.

For corporations incorporated in California, we will work directly with the California Business Programs Division and the California Secretary of State to retrieve an official, apostilled copy of the requested document. Corporations incorporated in Delaware require us to retrieve an official, gold-sealed copy from the Delaware Division of Corporations. Other states have different procedures for retrieving Articles of Incorporation; accordingly, if your company was incorporated in another state, we will follow that state’s procedures.
Some countries require apostilles plus additional certifications, details of which we will provide in the price quote. Once the document is apostilled (or apostilled and authenticated/legalized), we’ll ship it via FedEx Priority Overnight Service (USA destinations) or FedEx International Priority Service (overseas destinations).
